Just imagine a whole day of thanks and praise being offered to God by our school community!
We have a plan to make this a reality. Ignite Christian Academy will host a day-long online prayer session. This will be done utilizing WebEx which students have become familiar with as they have participated in the online classes that ICA has offered them.
An email with instructions on how to access the session will be sent out on Friday, November 18. Students will need that information to participate on Wednesday, November 23, the day prior to the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday. If you do not receive this email, contact your ASR for details.
As soon as you receive the instructions, you can join this session ahead of time by visiting the website and following the onscreen instructions. Then WebEx messenger will remind you of the prayer or "class" on November 23. Be sure to keep the access code and password handy.
As with our See You at the Pole event held in September, we are keeping the session live all day, that is, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (CST). Our aim is to accommodate as many students as possible regardless of the time zone in which they may reside. ICA faculty will host half-hour segments throughout the day to maintain decorum in chat and our focus on expressing thanks and praise to God.
"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name" (Psalm 100:4).
We sincerely hope that many of our students and their families will take time at some point during the day to participate in this day-long prayer event. We feel certain that our academy students and their families will agree that we all have abundant reasons to offer to God praise and thanksgiving.
