See You at the Pole is a prayer rally where students meet at a school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God.
ICA is uniquely positioned to respond to this call to prayer. With students in all 50 states and more than 40 other countries around the world, we cannot all gather around a flagpole at a single address in a single community. However, we can offer prayers for the students of these countries and the communities in which we live right from our homes and also participate communally with fellow ICA students via the Internet.
The 2014 See You at the Pole theme verse comes from Paul's familiar passage in Ephesians about the armor of God. The verse encourages Christians to lift prayers of all sorts up to the Lord on behalf of all people.
"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints" (Eph. 6:18).
In conjunction with See You at the Pole, the week of September 21 through September 27 is the Global Week of Student Prayer. Students everywhere are encouraged to find new ways, places, and times to pray with and for their friends. Challenge yourself to start a new Bible study before or after school, or launch a new student ministry group.
In our regular Monday prayer times, we intercede for one another in our Ignite Christian Academy community. On Wednesday, September 24, we encourage you to intercede for students everywhere. We know that our students care about people, and we are certain they also care about their peers in schools other than ICA.
