Following an on-site visit in June, Ignite Christian Academy (ICA) has been awarded international accreditation through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). ICA is only the third online school to receive this recognition from the prestigious Christian organization.
“ICA has been a member of ACSI for many years,” said Principal Julia Ellis. “To earn this accreditation will help us continue to grow as a quality Christian school.”
To gain approval, ACSI conducted numerous interviews of staff, administration, and teachers and completed a thorough analysis and evaluation of ICA’s programs, mission, goals, data/performance, staffing, and more. The new honor adds to ICA’s existing accreditation with AdvancED, the world’s most trusted and recognized accrediting organization, representing over 36,000 schools.
“While AdvancED is valuable accreditation for ICA’s graduates to get accepted into college or university, the advantage of ACSI accreditation is that ICA will have a Christian organization to help us grow in the impact we have as a Christian school with our students,” said Josh Rose, ICA’s executive director. “Over the long term, ICA plans to maintain accreditation through both ACSI and AdvancED.”
