Ignite Christian Academy recently added the role of family advocate to its roster of staff who assist families of enrolled students. We wanted to share with you how the addition of this new position can help your distance learning experience be even better.
Denise May, who has taken the role, is initially tasked with contacting all families shortly after they begin their school year. This is to ensure that all materials have been received in a timely manner, families have experienced no technical issues, and the student is able to start as planned. As the school year progresses, the family advocate will contact the family to ensure all is well, the student is on track and the family is receiving the high level of support that they expect from Ignite Christian Academy.
If a student is struggling academically, May will coordinate with academy service representatives and faculty advisors to direct the family to the correct person that will best assist that family and help the student get back on track. Should a family experience an area of concern, then the family advocate represents them to ICA and works on finding a solution that works for the family involved.
Finally, the family advocate aids all families in the re-registering their students for the next school year. The majority of families in Ignite Christian Academy contact the family advocate by phone or emails and are able to get advance notice of any specials that may be coming in the near future that will assist the family in planning and budgeting for the next school year.
Overall, May's position was created in order for Ignite Christian Academy to provide exceptional customer care and guidance for distance learning families. If you would like to discuss your child's education with May, she can be reached at 800-682-7396.
