The week of May 7-11 was Teacher Appreciation Week. Although Ignite Christian Academy tries to show our appreciation to our teachers every day, during Teacher Appreciation Week we make an even bigger effort to show the educators we work with how much we appreciate everything that they do. We would like to share with you how we celebrated this year.
The theme for the week was T.E.A.M. (which stands for "Together Everyone Achieves More"). At the beginning of the week we were divided into two teams: the Boomerangs and the Bookworms. All of the activities, meetings, gifts, and decorations for the week centered around a sports team theme.
As you can see from pictures, we had a lot of fun with the teambuilding activities!
Each day, we received a small gift from our director, Dr. Secord. The faculty also received gifts and letters from many of our students, and we were so excited to receive these thoughtful messages! One student even handmade each of the onsite teachers a coaster! See how happy we are!
All in all, it was a fantastic week. We had fun, yes, but we also spent time getting to know our fellow faculty members better, building relationships, and being reminded why we chose to become teachers.
Thank you to all of our families who showed their appreciation, and thank you to all of our teachers for their dedication to educating our students!
