On Tuesday, April 22, Ignite Christian Academy plans to host its second annual ICA Science Fair. Elementary teachers are planning an online classroom at 2:00 p.m. (CT) that afternoon where students in grades K-6 will present the projects they have been working on for the past few weeks.
In early March, students were encouraged to participate in the fair via email. Nineteen students responded saying that they were not only interested in the science fair, but that they plan to create their own experiment by thinking of a topic, creating a hypothesis, and carrying out a procedure to test that hypothesis and find results.
After completing their experiments, participating students will write up a lab report and prepare a presentation so that they can share their findings with others during the fair. Students are asked to have their completed projects to Mrs. Blind by Friday, April 17, so that they can be judged by the elementary teachers before the online class. The winner of the second annual ICA Science Fair will be announced during the online classroom.
All K-6 students are encouraged to attend the science fair to see what our young scientists have discovered this spring. Please watch your email for an online classroom link and join us to support our scientists on Tuesday, April 22!
