This spring, 57 graduates participated in Ignite Christian Academy graduation ceremonies. Three different ceremonies were held, allowing students and families to choose which one they would like to attend.
The first ceremony took place on May 10 in Allen, Texas. The events started in the morning with the Day Away at Main Event Entertainment. At the Day Away, graduates and a few other ICA students played laser tag, mini golf, and completed a ropes course. Later that evening, the graduates, accompanied by their families and friends, gathered at a local church for the formal ceremony and reception. Dr. Jon Lineberger challenged students to live their lives for Christ in his graduation address.
The second annual virtual ceremony was broadcast live online from the campus of Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa on May 24. The virtual ceremony allows students who cannot travel to a regional ceremony to participate in a graduation ceremony from their own location. Students from across the United States and several other countries participated. ICA Bible teacher Rev. Roger Bouwman delivered the graduate address.
The final ceremony was held on June 7 in Maitland, Florida. The Day Away was held at Dave & Buster's, where graduates, their families, and a few other ICA students participated in a scavenger hunt. The ceremony was held later that evening at a local church. Rev. Bouwman also delivered the graduate address at this graduation ceremony.
Special congratulations to all of the Ignite Christian Academy graduates of 2013!
