With the goal of changing education for the glory of God, Ignite Christian Academy is excited to introduce credit recovery courses for Ignitia online curriculum.
The courses are designed to provide assistance to students who are in a tight spot. Whether they lost credit due to absences, need to repeat failed courses, or are striving to graduate on time, credit recovery delivers an option to help them get back on track. Credit recovery courses are also a great resource for many students enrolled in summer school or dual enrollment schools.
In order to enroll in a credit recovery course, students must have attempted and been unsuccessful in completing the course at a previous point in time. Note that students who have chosen to drop a course are not eligible to take the credit recovery version.
Students who enroll in credit recovery begin the course with a pre-test. Those who pass the pre-test with a score of 80 percent or greater test out of that unit, and are free to move on to the next pre-test. Students who score below 80 percent on a pre-test are assigned lessons from that unit to complete before moving on to the next pre-test. The process is repeated for each unit until the student completes the entire course.
Ignite Christian Academy is excited to offer this new option to students, and looks forward to hearing your feedback. Credit recovery courses that are currently available include:
