In her sophomore year at Ignite Christian Academy, Micah Dunkleberger shows that she has what it takes to compete at the state level. After placing second in her district, Micah went on to place first in the Physical Science Senior Division at the Oklahoma State Science Fair. The Oklahoma State Science Fair took place on March 24-26 at East Central University in Ada, OK.
Micah's project on dietary fiber is an original study of the amount of food consumed by felines based on the amount of dietary fiber in their diet. She hypothesized that the amount of food consumed would decrease as she increased the amount of dietary fiber in their diet.
Micah said that she really enjoyed being able to participate in the state science fair and met a lot of new people. She already has plans for next year's science fair and hopes to go on to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
The faculty and staff of ICA would like to extend their congratulations to Micah on her achievement. In addition, the faculty would like to encourage all students to participate in academic competitions available locally.
