Ignite Christian Academy is excited to introduce a new reporting system for print students this school year. Beginning August 1, ICA will transition from quarterly reporting to semester reporting.
In the past, families who used print curriculum were required to submit a report every three months detailing the amount of time their student spent on each course during the quarter. To help reduce the amount of paperwork our families must complete, ICA will switch to a semester report.
The semester report form can be found on the ICA resource center. The new form must be submitted at the end of each semester within three weeks of completing the semester's coursework. Semester reports are the equivalent of a class participation grade, and will count toward 5% of a student's semester grade. ICA will track the receipt of the report in Moodle alongside the test and project scores.
Please note, this change will only affect students starting coursework on or after August 1, 2014. Students currently enrolled in courses or starting courses prior to August 1, 2014 will use the quarterly reporting process until they enroll in the next semester of coursework.
Reports are an important part of ICA's record keeping process and help ensure that our students are spending an appropriate amount of time on each course. Please contact your education coordinator with any questions.
