When brave men and women enter the armed forces, they know they may be asked to make the ultimate sacrifice of laying down their life or well-being for our freedom. In the wake of these sacrifices, the families of these heroes are often left with heavy burdens even beyond their grief.
Folds of Honor is a non-profit organization that seeks to recognize and honor these sacrifices and the burdens left on surviving family members. Each year, Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships that make it possible for the children of America’s heroes to pursue the highest education.
Folds of Honor awards up to $5,000 for the academic year, and this scholarship can be used on tutoring services or private schools such as Ignite Christian Academy. Especially applicable to ICA students, Folds of Honor awards the Children’s Fund Scholarship which provides primary and secondary (Kindergarten – 12th grade) scholarship assistance for dependents of our nation’s sacrificial heroes. For scholarships to be applied to the 2020-2021 school year, you can apply between February 1 and March 31, 2020.
If your child is already headed off to college, Folds of Honor also awards a Higher Education Scholarship for those seeking their first bachelor’s degree or a certification at a post-secondary institution.
