Back-to-School Tools
Would you like to know the best back-to-school item for your child's successful distance learning? No, it's not a new computer, and it's not a new microscope, math manipulative, or the latest educational game. In fact, you may be surprised to learn that the most effective tool you have is simply the positive words you use to encourage your child. Though it seems too good to be true, affirming your child with words of praise is the quickest way to motivate him to higher academic achievement.

Do Parents or Teachers Influence Your Child More?
Many people would agree that parents often have the most powerful influence on a child's life, and it may have been true during your childhood as well. In my own case, the most influential person was my father, a courageous Baptist pastor. Hopefully, someday your children will also say something like Abraham Lincoln: "All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother."
