About Me
I grew up in central Minnesota, attended college in St. Paul, and then returned to my hometown (Pequot Lakes) after graduation. My husband works as an afternoon D.J. and chief engineer for our local Christian radio station. We have three sons (Soren, Arthur, and Charlie), as well as two cats and various frogs and toads my kids convince me to keep.
Favorite Verse
Psalm 42.5. “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” This is a verse that has gotten me through a lot of tough times in my life. It reminds me to preach the gospel to myself no matter how downcast or anxious I might be.
First Job
My first “real” job was a bank teller, but I spent many years before that helping out my parents with their business of making miniature toy soldiers and the buildings, etc. that come along with them.
Hobbies
My biggest, most time consuming hobby is community theater. I’m usually involved in a couple shows a year as either an actor or costumer. I also love to knit/crochet, sew, garden, hike, fish, canoe, and play strategy board games.
Bucket List Item
I want to visit every US National Park. I also want to travel to Scotland some day.
Favorite Place
In high school I was able to go on a two week trip to Germany/Austria, and it was incredible!
Person I’d Like to Meet
I’d like to travel back in time to meet Abigail Adams.
