Rock Rapids, IA (August 13, 2014) – Ignite Christian Academy congratulates 2012 graduate Celeste Kellogg on joining the Allstar Nation Tour. Beginning in September, the country pop singer and former Radio Disney star will perform alongside other young musical artists on the three-month anti-bullying music tour.
Throughout the fall, the crew will visit more than 100 schools across the state of Texas to share their music, personal experience with bullying, and prevention tips.
Kellogg's interest in music began at a young age when she joined her church and school choirs. In order to pursue her dream of becoming a musical artist while completing her education, Kellogg made the switch in 2009 from public school to Ignite Christian Academy, an online distance learning program for grades K-12.
"With my singing career, I started traveling all the time. With the travel I missed a lot of my freshman year in public school," said Kellogg, who received the academy's student of the month award in November 2011. "The two traits that I enjoy most about ICA are how you can do school anywhere and that the teachers are so helpful!"
Currently ranked number one in the country/rock genre on ReverbNation, Kellogg began her career performing as a member of Radio Disney's tween pop group "RD7." In addition, her own musical group "No Limit" served as inspiration for the film No Limit Kids: Much Ado About Middle School, which co-starred Kellogg and Ashton Harrell.
After graduating from Ignite Christian Academy, Kellogg headlined her first tour, The Country Pop Rock Tour, which also took a stance against bullying.
