On average, how many times does an American open the refrigerator each day? How many points does the Statue of Liberty have on her crown? Eyesight is the sharpest at what hour?
These are examples of some of the questions that students may be asked during one of the activities at our April social event, which we are calling the “Spring Thing.” This event, which will take place from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday, April 25, will feature several exciting games and is sure to provide many opportunities for students to laugh, enjoy the virtual company of their classmates, and maybe even learn a few things (shhh…don’t tell anybody)!
There will be three very entertaining (and somewhat challenging) games featured at the Spring Thing. We’re going to keep them a secret until the event, but we promise that they are all really fun! How do we know? Because we’ve played them! Our faculty and advisors tested each of these games (for quality control purposes, of course) to make sure that they met ICA’s standards. We learned some things about ourselves in the process: for example, some of our teachers are pretty talented artists, and some…well…may not be the next Michelangelo!
Elementary students will also have a chance to participate in the Spring Thing fun! There will be a special activity for elementary students at the same time as the middle and high school party. More details about the elementary party are coming soon!
Be sure to watch the Friday Online Classroom emails for more information about the Spring Thing parties! We are looking forward to seeing your children there!
By the way, if you were wondering about the answers to the questions earlier, the answers are the following: On average, an American opens the refrigerator 22 times every day, the Statue of Liberty has seven points on her crown, and eyesight is sharpest at noon.
