Introduction to Careers in Government and Public Administration studies careers in politics and how they work together to make our government run.
Throughout this semester-long course, students in grades 9-12 study careers in politics and discover how they work together to make our government run. By examining the history and structure of the U.S. government and studying the relationship between local, state, and federal government, students learn about the electoral process, voting, political parties, and the process of making policies.
Students who complete this career course gain a fundamental understanding of U.S. government and public administration. Note: This course meets Ignite Christian Academy’s graduation requirement in the subject of government. However, we recommend that students who choose to take this elective also enroll in Government and Economics.
