In this course, you’ll gain foundational knowledge in anatomy, human biomechanics, exercise science, and injury prevention while learning how to care for the body—God’s temple—with excellence and integrity. Discover the diverse career paths in sports medicine and the day-to-day responsibilities of professionals who serve athletes and active individuals. You’ll also develop practical skills in emergency response, injury evaluation, taping techniques, and therapeutic practices, all while considering the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in your care. Whether your goal is to pursue a healthcare career or simply to support others in wellness and recovery, this course equips you to serve with healing hands and a compassionate heart.
Required Materials
- Video recording device
- Camera or Phone Camera
- Various props to demonstrate healthy lifestyle choices (weights, yoga mat, fruits, vegetables, etc.)
- Athletic tape (or appropriate substitution)
- Various props (Legos, paper, rocks, etc.)
- Household objects to create a splint and a sling
- ACE bandage (or anything that adds compression)
