The elementary department at Ignite Christian Academy welcomed students to a new school year at an online meet and greet on September 2.
The five elementary teachers, Mrs. Blind, Mrs. Holland, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. McCartney, and Mrs. Wieneke, shared a little information about themselves with prospective students to kick off the school year. The teachers covered everything from families and hobbies to likes and dislikes in order to give students a better picture of their lives outside of school.
The teachers also provided students with important reminders to help them succeed throughout the school year. If you missed the meet and greet, here are some important points to note as the year begins:
– Teachers encourage students to call their personal extensions at the academy any time they are in need of academic assistance.
– Each teacher has scheduled online office hours that students can attend to receive additional help.
– Remember to look back at your completed projects after teachers have graded them. Reviewing the comments and corrections helps you gain an understanding of how to improve future assignments.
Thanks to all the students who attended the online meet and greet session. It was a fantastic way to open the lines of communication, connect with students, and kick off the 2014-2015 school year.
