On Wednesday, May 23 the Alpha Omega elementary department hosted our first annual Academy Spelling Bee.
We opened this up to all elementary students; however, all participants were in the 3rd-6th grades. Over the ten rounds of competition, we covered words from the first through sixth grade levels. The eight participants spelled out words like zebra, prize, celebration, forgetful, cucumber, and circus. Our fist ever spelling bee champ is 5th grader Daniel Cunningham. He correctly spelled the word conclusion to finish out the competition.
