This school year Ignite Christian Academy launched three new courses that can help you meet the graduation requirements and expand your computer skills. These business and computer courses count towards the fine or practical art elective requirement for high school students.
Office Applications I (0.5 credits)
In this course you will learn the essential skills for using Microsoft Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint. It teaches the best techniques and strategies for creating professional looking documents and presentations. (Access to the 2010 version of Microsoft Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint is required.)
Office Applications II (0.5 credits)
In this course you will learn how to store, process, and manage data with Microsoft Excel and Access. You will practice the best techniques for manipulating data quickly and using it to create reports. (Access to the 2010 version of Microsoft Excel and Access is required.)
Technology & Business (1 credit)
Technology & Business prepares you for a job in the modern business world. You will learn about technologies that are used in business, such as word processors, spreadsheets, presentation technology, and computer networks. You will also explore skills necessary in today's work place such as communication skills and project management skills. (Access to a word processor, spreadsheet program, presentation program, and database program is required.)
