ICA is excited to roll out new Genius dashboard features to make our student information system even more user friendly for parents and students this year.
What’s new?
The Course Plan section now offers an explanation at the bottom that reminds you what the minimum requirements are for graduation. For example, your summary box might say you took 3 history credits already, but the explanation below will remind you that those 3 credits need to be the specific courses of World History, U.S. History, and Government/Economics. It also includes a separate list of further recommendations if you plan on going to college. These added courses are not required by ICA to graduate, but they are recommended because most colleges require them for admission.
How many credits have I earned so far?
To find this frequently asked question, look no further than the new View Transcript menu option! From here, you can view your UNOFFICIAL transcript to see your current GPA and your list of completed credits. You can also print it off when the college you are applying for wants a fast response to get started on your application.
It is important to remember that this is an UNOFFICIAL version of your transcript, so you will still need to request an official version from the ICA Records department like normal. However, having access to this should help you plan your courses for next year, send applications to colleges, and check your GPA. This feature is available from the student’s and the guardian’s Genius login.
What are some other things you can do from the dashboard page?
The dashboard is your one-stop source of any information you need. From here, you can go to External Links and access the Virtual Campus with all our school policies, the student center, and other information. You can check your grades, find your teacher’s schedule and contact information, see what is coming up for assignments, check the school calendar, review your activity, plan your courses for graduation, contact the school, print your Student ID, and print your unofficial transcript on demand.
