This fall the ICA school counseling department launched Counselor Café, a meet up for students to ask the school counselors questions related to academics, personal growth, college planning, career exploration, and more. Created as a relaxed, informal time where students can ask questions, get answers, and gather resources, Counselor Café is different from our typical online classes. The counselors love to see your faces, so feel free to share your webcam in our Café to connect with the group and ask your questions.
Each month of the core school year, the school counselors target 1-2 specific grades levels (6-12) and send out an email announcement about the date, time, grade level invited, and online link to join on the specific day of Counselor Café. Each session lasts about 30 minutes. Students can ask their questions by submitting them ahead of time through a link provided in the email announcement, popping on their webcam and speaking through their computer audio, or typing their question in the chat box of the live session.
Please check your emails and join the school counselors and your classmates for upcoming Counselor Cafés. We look forward to you joining us and hearing your questions!
Be sure to check out all the resources on our Academic Counselor Virtual Campus Page.
