On September 17, the elementary teachers at the academy came together for the benefit of ICA students. The teachers joined together to hold a meet and greet where each instructor shared a little personal information, allowing them to form a closer connection with the students. ICA teachers consider it a blessing to share their stories and interact on a more personal level with students.
Participating students gave teachers a look into their own lives, too, by sharing a little bit about themselves. Instructors learned about their students’ families, pets, favorite subjects, likes, and dislikes.
Meet and greets are a great way to establish a personal connection, which can help students feel more comfortable and confident as they interact with their distance learning instructors. ICA teachers hope that building that first link of communication will encourage students to reach out as they need assistance with coursework.
