To celebrate a holiday of love and friendship, the elementary teachers at Ignite Christian Academy hosted the 3rd Annual Valentine Exchange. Participating students were asked to send the ICA teachers their first name, grade level, and some unique fun facts about themselves. The information was shared with all participants, who were asked to make or purchase valentines to send to their peers.
During the exchange, teachers at the academy work as mail carriers, sorting the cards for each individual student and shipping out packages to everyone that chooses to participate. It was great to see the effort that students put into the creation of the cards. Some students even made special, individualized cards for every person on their list. The creativity and careful thought put into the project serves as a true testament to the kindness and artistic abilities of our students.
Throughout the past few years, we have found that the Valentine Exchange is a great way to get ICA students better acquainted with their peers. The cards come from classmates across the United States and are a great way to celebrate the true meaning of love and friendship.
