Career Explorations I exposes middle school students to several career paths that are covered more thoroughly in high school Career and Technical Education courses. Browsing career options in 7th or 8th grade helps students make informed decisions when enrolling in high school courses. Topics of study in the semester-long course include health, tourism, human services, consumer services, and hospitality.
ACT Test Prep provides high school students with test-taking strategies and practice exams to help them prepare for the ACT. The 0.25 credit course provides instruction in English, writing, math, reading, and science. It also includes four full-length practice tests at the end of the term to help students get comfortable with the format of the test. Because of its unique length, ACT Test Prep is offered at a special rate of $149.
Physical Education teaches high school students the basic rules, skills, and history of several sports, including football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, gymnastics, and more. Designed for beginners, this elective also serves as a fun refresher course for students with more advanced skills. Physical Education is also available in Switched-On Schoolhouse.
All three courses are open for immediate enrollment. To learn more about these new electives from Ignite Christian Academy, call 800.682.7396 or contact your education coordinator.
