In connection with our school’s name change to Ignite Christian Academy, our community has proudly adopted the Knights as our school mascot. After receiving over 300 written and illustrative entries that covered seemingly everything from Axolotls to Laptops to Whales, three finalists were selected for a schoolwide vote. In the end, Knights was chosen by our families over Lions and Eagles.

We are excited about our new name and mascot because we believe that the Knight is an excellent representation of our mission as a school to ignite a passion in our students to impact the world for the sake of God’s glory.

Over 540 parents have already joined Ignite Christian Academy’s new Facebook group! The parent/teacher partnership group is intended for all parents and guardians of active ICA students. It is a forum for real-time school announcements and reminders. It also provides families with an excellent opportunity to connect and interact with other families within our school context.

Merry Christmas! We hope you will enjoy a break from your schoolwork this Christmas season. From Monday, December 21, through Friday, January 1, students will not be assigned any new work. Take these two weeks to spend time with your family and reflect on the birth of Christ. This December, several new features and changes were launched that will affect students. First, teachers will now use Zoom to conduct one-on-one student meetings, live classes, and student club meetings. This change is in an effort to have higher security so there is no unmoderated student communication. Students and parents, I encourage you to only allow your students to interact with other ICA students on platforms that can be moderated by ICA staff.
