Spring Semester MAP Testing
The Spring Semester has begun at ICA, and that means it’s time for our annual achievement testing.
ICA uses the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) test through the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) for our achievement testing. The MAP test is unique in that it is taken online and the test is adaptive to the student’s ability. When students begin the test, the first question is at their grade level. If the question is answered correctly, the next question is slightly more difficult. From there, the test gets progressively more difficult with each correct answer and slightly easier with each incorrect answer.

Stay Connected with ICA’s Counselor Café
This fall the ICA school counseling department launched Counselor Café, a meet up for students to ask the school counselors questions related to academics, personal growth, college planning, career exploration, and more. Created as a relaxed, informal time where students can ask questions, get answers, and gather resources, Counselor Café is different from our typical online classes. ICA’s Holiday Break and Teacher Hours
From Monday, December 23 through January 1, 2020, ICA will celebrate the holiday season. During this time, there will be no scheduled academic bookings, and the academic support line will be closed.
While teachers will still be checking your work and responding to voicemails or direct messages in your coursework during this period, it will be on a reduced schedule for the holidays. In addition, no teachers will be available at all from December 24-25 and December 31-January 1. ICA will also close at noon (CT) on Monday, December 23. [Read more…]
