Travel world history from ancient civilizations until the end of the 20th century! Students explore how the world has changed and developed, giving a greater understanding of the world today. In the first semester, topics in this course from our online academy include ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians, Assyrians, Greeks, and Romans. Additional topics include the medieval world and the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Reformation in Europe, and the growth of world empires.
In the second semester on this course from our online academy, students examine the Age of Revolution including the English, French, and American Revolutions. The English and American Industrial Revolutions, the two World Wars, the contemporary world and the cold war, and a review section are also included. Projects include papers on socialism or free enterprise and a major event of the 20th century. Each unit of the course contains quizzes and a test to evaluate progress and student mastery.
