Over 40 years ago, man made history; man walked on the moon (and finally confirmed it was not made of cheese!). In honor of Neil Armstrong's history-changing stroll on July 20, 1969 across the surface of another orb, we thought this week would be a great time to study about Man on the Moon.
To help educate your student about the importance of this leap for mankind, here are some moon-filled websites to enjoy. Houston, we have learning!
Kidport.com – Reference Library for the Moon Landing
NASA.gov – Apollo Missions and Their History (Check out the Apollo 11 Image Gallery too!)
Space.com – Reflections on Apollo 11
BBC.com – On this Day in History
WeChooseTheMoon.org – Digital re-creation of the Apollo 11 Mission
Hubblesite.com – Images of the Earth's moon and other Milky Way Galaxy planets' moons.
Check out this footage of the first moon walk!

If you could visit the moon, what would you do there?
